How far did you go?
I met a past high school flame while returning something from Christmas. Oh how the memories flowed back into the front page of my mind. I was fifteen, Cindy was sixteen and so great looking. Thinking back so many things came back that I nearly ran a red light on my way home.
This got me to recall some of the things I did to try to get her attention. I knew where Cindy lived and traced the path to her home several times. One time I paint on a railroad overpass "Cindy, too cool for school". I delivered her a May basket that took me three weeks to make and it was 'perfect'. I left Valentines and other love notes anonymously in her locker. I watched her open her locker several times without being noticed. She was giddy every time she found something new. She never knew it was me as she became enamoured with the quarterback. This guy could have doubled his IQ by learning to tie both his shoes. She followed that up with several more wild boy flings before I lost track of her and life got busy with me.
All these things got me to thinking about so many things I tried to get a woman's attention.
